One of my best ideas yet!
Back in December, I made a decision to start regular 1:1 meetings with Managers, Directors, and VPs to better understand their challenges and priorities. Every conversation begins with a simple yet important question: „How are you doing?“ and sometimes I add „On the scale 1-10“ to get more depth—and from there, we dive into key topics.
I kicked this off in January, and I’m now I just started my third round. As their business partner, my goal is to stay connected to their realities, be well-informed, and offer guidance on projects related to humans at work.
What I love most about these meetings isn’t just the increased flow of information, but the trust we’re building. Some prefer monthly check-ins, while others find twice a month more valuable. Personally, I have a biweekly 1:1 with my manager, and I wouldn’t want to skip it!
